North Korea is located in Eastern Asia, on the northern half of the Korean Peninsula bordering the Korea Bay and the Sea of Japan, between China and South Korea. North Korea is a strategic location bordering China, South Korea, and Russia. Furthermore it’s mountainous interior is isolated and sparsely populated. North Korea’s geographical location is an advantage to the country. North Korea does have many natural resources, which include coal, lead, tungsten, zinc, graphite, magnesite, iron ore, copper, gold, pyrites, salt, fluorspar, hydropower, but because of its’ isolated government North Korea does not make good use of these resources economically. One reason that North Korea is so isolated is because of their religious/cultural beliefs. When Kim Jong-il came into power the nation revered him as a god-like figure and this is the same for Kim Jong Un. Both these leaders have full say in how the government should run, thus making them tyrants. The isolated nation of North Korea is the way it is because of its leaders, who is seen as a god to the people. The isolation of North Korea complicates its relations with other nations. North Korea does have have a good relationship with many countries including the U.S.A. Furthermore North Korea does not follow the same laws and regulations so they do not approach cyber attacks as the U.S.A would.
